Records, Connecticut Militia, 1st - 37th Regiments, 1812-1815.

Records for the 1st through 37th regiments of the Connecticut Militia for the War of 1812. Contains Inspection Returns, Muster Rolls, Pay Rolls, Returns, Artillery Rolls, Receipt Rolls, and Abstracts of Payment (1814). Correspondence includes letters of Hezekiah Goddard (1813-1816, 1837-1838), some with Jirah Isham. Also a Memorial to Congress for Bounty Land. Other names appearing in the records include David Deming, State Corps of Cavalry, and Elihu Sanford, State Corps, 2nd Regiment. About a dozen pieces are in regard to volunteers. Half a linear foot of material (2 boxes) is primarily correspondence of Nathaniel Terry and is cataloged separately.
